My accupuncturist

May 31st

I cannot say enough good things about my accupuncturist! She has been healing my hands and it looks like we are winning the game. I went into her a few months ago with hurting hands. The way I use my cello bow puts a lot of pressure on my index finger on my right hand as well as my thumb. I am working to correct that, but old habits die hard.

My first visit to her had her treating my left ankle and knee, which relieved the pressure on my right hand – not intuitive, but if you know anything about Chinese medicine, not surprising. When i complained about my right shoulder and neck, I joked about her having to treat my left toe. It turned out that the C3 and C6 vertebrae are treated through the right toe!

I have been working very hard to learn duet music for a performance and it has wreaked havoc with my bow arm and neck. when I’m learning music, all my bad habits come out until I can focus on something other than sight reading. The work she has been doing has left my hands, shoulder and arms in good shape. I’m very grateful. She is Dr. Helen Law in Princeton. I recommend her.
